How Should It Be Fed?
- For horses, feed total forage at 1.5% to 2.5% of body weight
- Replace existing hay gradually over 7 to 14 days
- For added hydration, aggressive eaters, or dental issues, soak 1 part pellets with 2 parts water for 30 minutes or until softened
- Do not use pelleted forage as a horse's sole forage source; provide some long-stem forage, and never feed moldy or insect-infested forage
