Aquashade® Aquatic Plant Growth Control is a 1-gallon EPA-registered dye for contained ponds and lakes. Its blue-and-yellow dye blend limits light below the surface to help prevent or suppress submerged weeds and certain filamentous algae while giving treated water a light aqua-blue tint.

Where & When to Use
- For natural or manmade contained lakes and ponds with little or no outflow
- Best applied before the growing season and most effective in water deeper than 2 feet
- Does not control floating algae mats, free-floating plants, or emergent shoreline vegetation
- Do not apply to streams, uncontrolled water bodies, or water used for human consumption

- Use the lower 0.5–0.8 ppm rates early for suppression at depths greater than 2 feet
- Use the higher 1.5–2.0 ppm rates in shallow water or in season when growth is within 2 feet of the surface
- Allow at least 1 hour for dispersion before swimming, irrigation, or livestock watering, or keep concentrate 50 feet from those use areas
